Description:
Non-Woven abrasive is a unique sanding abrasive. The wear characteristics of non-woven abrasives are different from coated abrasives. This is due to the 3D structure of non-woven abrasives compared to the flat structure of coated abrasives. The sanding gain, normally aluminum oxide and silicon carbide, are particle held by helical a web of nylon throughout nonwoven structure. As the product wears away, the substrate breaks down and the grain is lost which reveals a new sharp grain. This process leads to uniform finishing
WEEM2994-01 Non-Woven abrasive hand pads are pre-cut to 6" x 9" sheet; preferred industry-wide for a variety of applications. The non-woven nylon, low density pads are impregnated with abrasive grain. Easy to fold, they offer excellent conformability and flexibility. These non-rusting pads are ideal for a broad range of hand applications: cleaning, finishing and light duty polishing and are a great replacement for steel wool pads.
Very-fine:Grey; Silicon Carbide abrasive pad for cleaning and finishing.
Fine:Maroon; Aluminum Oxide abrasive pad for removing buildup of rust or corrosion. May use with most solvents.
Medium:Brown; Aluminum Oxide abrasive pad for heavy duty cleaning or fast action finishing. May use with most solvents.
Coarse:Green; Aluminum Oxide abrasive pad for stainless steel, aluminum and for stripping.
Applications:
From used with chemical strippers for heavy-duty stripping and scrubbing of surfaces to remove point, varnish and other coatings; to Cleaning glass, fiberglass, porcelain, ceramic, chrome, copper and stainless steel.
